Big R Bird Ranch operates upland game hunts from September 1st for self-guided hunts and October 1st for guided hunts through April 30th. The ranch is closed on Sundays. Hunts are available by appointment only.

• 1/2 Day Guided Hunt (guide & dog)- 3 Hours, add $80 + gratuity

• Full Day Guided Hunt (guide & dog)- 6 Hours, add $160 + gratuity

• Unguided Hunt- Bring your dog(s). We'll plant the birds and then you're on your own

*All package prices are for 1/2 day unguided hunts. Package prices are good for up to six hunters for unguided hunts and up to four hunters for guided hunts. Age limit is 12 years old with hunter safety course.

*All guided hunts with 24 or more birds will have a guide fee will be $130 + gratuity

Before attending a hunt at Big R Bird Ranch, please take a moment to review the following information. This will help ensure you have the best experience possible!

• Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled hunt time

• ALL changes to bird numbers must be requested at least 5 days in advance​

• No hunting license required

• If anyone under 18 is hunting, you MUST email a copy of completed hunter safety course or their junior hunting license to bigrbirdranch@gmail.com. If this is not received within 1 week of your scheduled hunt, they will NOT be allowed to hunt.

• Dress appropriately

• Wear a minimum of 250 square inches of fluorescent/hunter's orange on head, chest and back

• Bring your own dog(s). If you don't have a hunting dog, a guide/dog will be required.

• Bring your own gun

• Bring your own shells. We recommend 6 or 7 1/2 for pheasants and 7 1/2 or 8 for chukars and quail.

• Bring drinks and snacks

• Bring a cooler to take your birds home

• Bird cleaning offered for $4/bird. Birds are breasted out only,
